The Receptionist/Purchasing Assistant will perform entry-level purchasing functionsto assist in the efficient procurement of goods and services.
Perform general office support functions and assist area personnel as necessary.

General Office/Receptionist - Assumes responsibility for successively performing various assigned tasks and other general support functions and duties a.
Answer and direct all incoming calls ensuring accurate messages are taken when necessary b.
Greet and assist all visitors as needed c.
Assist with planning of company events such as employee appreciation, customer appreciation, and sales meeting d.
Assist in maintaining office supplies, equipment maintenance, and office cleaning e.
Assist in maintaining WIP books and files for incoming and outgoing loaders and equipment f.
Ensure office work areas are kept neat and organized g.
Maintain professional atmosphere and conduct at all times h.
Assist all management as needed 2.
Purchasing - Assumes responsibility for successively performing various assigned tasks and other purchasing functions and duties a.
Print Purchase Orders, checking them for accuracy and completeness prior to issuing to suppliers.

Review supplier confirmations/acknowledgements for discrepancies, pricing changes, delivery date changes, etc.
and update orders as necessary being sure to inform Buyer for potential impact.
c.
Create and process Purchase Orders for specific products and approved internal requisitions.
d.
Assist Buyer in expediting or delaying open orders as needed to meet company production schedules and inventory requirements.
e.
Follow-up with vendors on late deliveries and update system status.
f.
Work with vendors and other internal departments to resolve invoicing/receiving discrepancies.
g.
Schedule pickups with vendors.
h.
Assist the Buyer in maintaining documents in a systematic and auditable fashion.
i.
Weekly and monthly reporting.
j.
Ensure Buyer is informed of any change in open orders that may impact production schedules or sales requirements.
k.
Performing other duties as assigned.
