Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting buyers entering customer orders in a timely manner.
Process orders, including proper shipment to stores.
Receive large volume of telephone calls from store members and vendors regarding add-on orders, handbills, and miscellaneous information.
Resolve problem calls from members, referring exception cases to appropriate buyer or department head.
Assist Kansas City Customer Service when needed as it associates to our customer base.
Communicate with stores to resolve credit and mis-ship issues.
Enter misstrips, damaged, and short dated claims, called in by member stores, to on-line credit system for processing.
Perform other clerical duties as required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months experience in office practices and procedures.
Customer service experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Must be able to project a professional image when communicating with internal employees and external customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
