As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for day to day operations of a fast paced department of the Hernando Warehouse, including the receiving, put-away, labeling picking, and shipping of consumer products.
Specifically you will:
Meet all safety and housekeeping expectations
Coordinates all shipping and receiving activities on shift as directed by the manager
Meeting daily production standards to ensure performance metrics are met
Maintain quality of product shipped
Manage inventory including cycle count accuracy
Working knowledge of DOT Hazard labeling and shipping
Handle all employee relation issues as required
Maintain acceptable production and quality levels to ensure the performance metrics
f the business are met
To qualify, you will need the following:
At least one year in a supervisory level position
2-4 years experience in operations, distribution and/or manufacturing, preferably serving a consumer markets customer base
Bachelor of Science (BS) preferred
Excellent communications skills
Working knowledge of WMS or barcode scanners
Good computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications, Lotus Notes, SAP, and other web-based database applications
Working knowledge of DOT Hazardous labeling and shipping
Strong management skills, using a combination of data-based metrics and behavioral expectations to continuously improve group performance
Working knowledge of Responsible Care best practices is desired, with a focus on supporting a shift to a Zero-Incident work culture

This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.
