Quality Engineer

Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in textile or related technical/engineering discipline desired, but can be substituted with 8 years experience.
Prefer experience in paper machine clothing manufacturing environment in a technical or operational capacity.
Must have a solid knowledge of formal quality systems such as ISO, QIT, TQM, etc.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices and 6? principles is a plus.
Knowledge of computers and skilled in use of Microsoft products including Excel, Word and Power Point.
Requires good typing skills, ability to generate concise and accurate reports, strong attention to detail, strong sense of initiative, and solid written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
Ensures that the operations of the plant are consistent with the quality policy and process of the corporation.
Ensures that the regional and plant managers are informed of developments or issues regarding quality management.
Approves product based on company quality systems.
Uses formally established test procedures for measuring quality.
Ensures that quality management procedures, standard process specifications, and order specifications are in place, current and correct.
Ensures that all plant personnel have the necessary training in and awareness of same as part of ISO.
Ensures that accurate quality records are collected and maintained in approved formats.
Responsible for overseeing the quality alert/corrective action process in the plant.
Ensures that the plant maintains ISO 9001 certification.
Documents all training/qualifications for all direct reports as required.
Reviews all fabric, fiber, chemical, yarn; non-conformances in all manufacturing operations and quality assurance department and makes sound quality decisions using input from applications/manufacturing.
Advises sales of non-conforming product shipments.
Responsible for the resolution and closing out of assigned customer complaints.
Maintains close relationship with field-based application engineers and development personnel.
Makes customer visits as required.
Reviews field call reports and maintains pertinent files.
Stays abreast of field performance.
Supplies fabric data and samples to customer service and application engineers on a regular basis.
Maintains production tags for all pieces manufactured.
Ensures a systematic process for records and sample retrieval.
Assigns internal quality audits and responsible for follow up.
Responsible for management reviews.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
